Welcome to Little Steps Creative Centre.  We are a non-profit Nursery School licensed through the Manitoba Child Care Program.  We provide an educational and nurturing environment for three and four year old children.  The program includes an introduction to French component, begins in September and runs through to mid June, closely following the school calendar.  Children attending Little Steps Creative Centre must be 3 years old by December 31 of the current year, and completely toilet trained. 

 

We hope that you and your child will enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere of our centre and that many fond memories are developed. 

 

PHILOSOPHY

Little Steps Creative Centre believes that each child is unique and with this comes the right for love, respect, and freedom.  Children will be encouraged to express their feelings and ideas in a safe, quality environment.  Children will be taught the importance of respecting their peers, as well as the property of Little Steps Creative Centre.

 

We believe that creating a positive and stimulating environment allows children to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

• Learn to follow directions, school routines and structure

• Develop problem solving strategies and cognitive skills necessary to foster continued learning

• Experience activities involving both gross and fine motor skills

• Learn to recognize and observe socially appropriate behaviours
